Senior QA Engineer

**Job title:** Senior QA Engineer (Automation) **Type:** Full-time, Contract **Start date:** April **Initial contract duration:** Two months **What you’ll do** You’ll join hedgehog lab as a Senior QA Engineer. Your first engagement will be leading quality on a premium, subscription-based web product for a global client. It’s used by senior decision makers. Accuracy and trust are critical. You’ll define the QA strategy. You’ll set non-functional standards. You’ll build automation that gives both us and our client confidence to release. This is not manual testing. You’ll embed quality from the start. You’ll work closely with our engineers and the client’s technical team. You’ll agree acceptance criteria. You’ll define what “done” means. You’ll ensure strong automated regression across key journeys like authentication, secure data access, and content delivery. The product includes async processing and LLM-generated content. You’ll design validation layers that check structure, numeric accuracy, and edge cases before anything reaches users. You’ll support performance readiness, including peak traffic during annual release cycles. This is the initial project. Over time, you’ll move across different products and sectors, bringing the same quality leadership to new client challenges. **What’s in it for you** You’ll work on a high-trust, high-visibility product from day one. If you want your judgement to carry weight and your standards to travel with you across multiple products, this is that role. **What we're looking for – required experience** - Strong experience as a QA / Quality Engineer on modern web products - Proven automation using tools such as Playwright, Cypress, Jest, or similar - Experience testing REST APIs using Postman or automated API frameworks - Experience defining QA strategy and non-functional requirements - Strong data validation and test data management skills - Experience with async workflows or event-driven systems - Ability to work closely with engineers and clients to improve quality and release confidence **Nice to have** - Experience testing systems that integrate with LLM APIs - Familiarity with schema validation or contract testing - Performance testing experience - AWS exposure **Ready to apply?** Apply now and help build the next generation of digital products at hedgehog lab.
