Inpatient Coder (CCS)

**Pay:** $50-$70 per hour (USD). **Role Title:** Inpatient Coder (CCS) **Role Type:** Contractor **Location:** United States, Remote micro1 is engaging Inpatient Coders to contribute to a valued project focused on enhancing clinical coding accuracy and data quality. In this role, you'll apply your expertise to help train next-generation AI systems. Your work will shape how models learn, reason, and perform through high-quality, real-world input. **Scope of Work** 1. Review and analyze inpatient medical records to ensure accurate ICD-10 and CPT coding in alignment with current guidelines and best practices. 2. Review clinical documentation for accuracy, completeness, and coding integrity. 3. Evaluate AI-generated clinical notes and summaries against real-world documentation and coding standards. 4. Code AI-generated diagnostic and procedural information from the record using ICD and CPT/HCPCS classification systems. 5. Identify and resolve discrepancies in diagnosis and procedure coding, ensuring the integrity of record abstraction and data capture. 6. Enter AI-generated patient information into computerized inpatient and outpatient medical record databases. **Preferred Qualifications** 1. Active certification in one of the following: CCS, CIC, COC, RHIA, or RHIT or other coding certification through AHIMA and AAPC. 2. ICD-10 coding experience. 3. Access to up-to-date official ICD-10 and CPT coding books, as well as E&M guidelines. 4. Currently working in medical coding, clinical documentation improvement, or a closely related documentation role 5. Availability of at least 10 hours per week
