Head of Engineering

We’re looking for a hands-on and strategic Head of Engineering to be a cornerstone of our technology team. What you'll bring: Experience building scalable backend services (TypeScript and Nest.js), cloud infrastructure, particularly GCP (Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Firestore), and iOS and Android apps (Flutter). A strategic, architectural mindset with the ability to lead system design decisions and solve complex technical challenges. Demonstrated experience in a leadership or mentorship role, evolving our engineering standards and principles to foster a high-performance engineering culture. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work closely with C-level leadership, product, and design teams. Preferred but not required experience in: A love for Whering! What you'll be doing: You will help to bolster Whering’s tech team as it doubles in size over the next 24 months, lead critical architectural discussions, mentor other developers, and have a profound impact on the technical foundation that powers the Whering experience for millions of users.
