Accountabilities:
Partner with school and district leaders to identify instructional priorities, analyze needs, and develop strategies that strengthen equitable ELA instruction and student achievement.
Co-design coaching and instructional supports aligned with school priorities, student data, curriculum goals, and broader district objectives.
Design and facilitate equity-centered professional learning experiences for teachers and educational leaders.
Coach educators in analyzing student data and implementing high-quality ELA curricula effectively.
Build strong, collaborative relationships with teachers, school leaders, district stakeholders, and other education partners.
Maintain accurate coaching plans, notes, documentation, and partner deliverables.
Capture and codify effective coaching tools, resources, practices, and strategies to strengthen and improve the broader coaching model.
Adapt communication and coaching approaches to meet the needs of diverse educators and stakeholders.
Manage assigned projects and partner commitments effectively within established timelines and priorities.
Deliver occasional in-person coaching and professional learning, requiring up to 10% travel.
Contribute to additional instructional and organizational priorities as needed.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field required.
At least 5 years of K–12 ELA teaching experience, with demonstrated evidence of positive student impact.
At least 3 years of instructional coaching or teacher leadership experience.
Demonstrated experience supporting multilingual learners and students with IEPs.
Experience implementing high-quality ELA curricula and translating curriculum expectations into effective classroom practice.
Strong understanding of equitable instruction, culturally responsive pedagogy, and standards-aligned teaching.
Strong adult learning and professional development facilitation skills.
Ability to analyze student- and teacher-level data and translate findings into actionable instructional strategies.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to adapt messaging to diverse audiences.
Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to establish trust with educators, school leaders, and district partners.
Self-directed, organized, and capable of managing priorities independently in a remote environment.
Preferred experience with ELA programs such as EL Education, HMH Into Reading, HMH Into Literature, Wit & Wisdom, Savvas myPerspectives, McGraw Hill StudySync, or CKLA.
Familiarity with instructional and education technology tools such as Google Classroom, ClassDojo, or ChatGPT is preferred.
Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
Must be located within 3 hours of central Kentucky and able to travel for occasional in-person engagements.
Benefits:
$73.02 per hour pay rate.
Part-time, fixed-term W2 position at approximately 20 hours per week, averaging 20 hours weekly over the engagement.
Two-year contracted term, with potential renewal based on district renewals, instructional needs, and organizational priorities.
Remote work within the United States, with eligibility limited to candidates within three hours’ driving distance of central Kentucky.
Up to approximately 10% travel for in-person coaching and partner engagements.
Generous paid time off, including prorated 10 paid holidays.
Paid days off between the Christmas and New Year’s holidays.
